Description

1910 Cent, PR66 Red
Rare So Well-Preserved

1910 1C PR66 Red PCGS. CAC. Sharp, intricate detailing and squared rims immediately identify this outstanding early Lincoln as a matte proof even before consideration of the distinctive surface texture is taken into account. Vibrant golden color in the centers cedes to flashes of rose and orange iridescence at the margins. Only a few inconsequential carbon flecks on each side preclude an even loftier grade. Population: 26 in 66 (3 in 66+) Red, 6 finer. CAC: 6 in 66, 4 finer (11/18).
Ex: Central States Signature (Heritage, 4/2006), lot 697, which realized $6,325; Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 2/2009), lot 572, which realized $11,500; Summer FUN Signature (Heritage, 7/2010), lot 3167, which realized $5,175.
