Description

1910 Cent, PR67+ Red CAC
One Finer Certification at PCGS

1910 1C PR67+ Red PCGS. CAC. Gorgeous red surfaces contain hints of lemongrass on the obverse and rose-lilac on the reverse. Sharp definition complements the eye appeal, framed by well-squared rims. A couple pinpoint specks at the right edge of the Y in LIBERTY are all that serve as pedigree markers for this incredibly high-end 1910 proof, and the care afforded to it post-striking is excellent. The 1910 issue has both a higher mintage than the combination of the two 1909 Lincoln issues, at 4,083. It also survived at higher rates, as unsold examples, rather than being melted, were eventually sold to dealers. These proofs are defined by their brown toning with hints of blue, making Red survivors quite scarce. The present offering, however, also has the added benefit of being tied for second finest known, bested by a lone PR68 Red example. PCGS Population: 10 in 67 (3 in 67+), 1 finer (4/26). CAC: 7 in 67, 1 finer (4/26).
