Description

Exceptional 1913 PR65 Red Cent

1913 1C PR65 Red PCGS. The 1913 is considered the most "common" date in the matte proof series. "Common" must certainly be understood in the context of the series and also in the context of coins certified with fully intact red surfaces. Only 39 pieces have been so graded by PCGS in PR65 with 28 finer (8/07). This is an outstanding piece. The striking details are razor-sharp and the surfaces are rich red on the obverse with pale olive on the reverse. (Registry values: N1793)
