Description

Delightful 1913 Cent, PR66 Red and Brown

1913 1C PR66 Red and Brown NGC. Razor-sharp detail is evident on coin to the extent that the viewer can almost pick out the individual hairs in Lincoln's beard. The degree of detail, in combination with the matte surfaces, gives this piece a delightful visual effect. The obverse is primarily burnt orange in color, while a streak of crimson meanders between the rim and the right obverse field between 12 o'clock and 8 o'clock. The small degree of brown visible on the coin lies on the reverse, mostly in the peripheries between the left wheat ear and PLURIBUS. A few grade-defining pinpricks of carbon are noted above the date and near the stem of the left wheat ear.
