Description

1913 Cent, PR67 Red
Conditionally Rare

1913 1C PR67 Red PCGS. Remarkably few matte proof Lincolns have achieved a Superb Gem grade, across all issues and color categories. The 1913 shows a PCGS population of just seven coins in PR67 Red, with none finer (1/17). Surprisingly, this paltry survival rate is among the higher for the grade in the matte proof series. The present coin is truly superb. Full definition appears on all design elements and the rims are broad and squared. Bronze-gold hues dominate the matte surfaces but yield to overtones of violet-red, lilac, and olive. A few faint carbon specks are present, but there are no contact marks.(Registry values: N2998)
