Description

1913 Cent, PR67 Red
None Finer at Either Service

1913 1C PR67 Red PCGS. The mintage of proof 1913 cents was large, consisting of 2,983 pieces, making it one of the most available issues of the matte proof era. Still, examples are elusive in an absolute sense, and very scarce in the higher grade ranges with the Red designation. PCGS has graded 7 at this MS67 Red level, while NGC has certified 5, with neither service having awarded a single higher grade (12/13). The obverse of this lustrous example is particularly appealing, with intermingled shades of red, orange, yellow, gold, pink, green, and violet. An intricate strike is an additional attribute of this exceptional coin.(Registry values: N2998)
