Description

1914 Cent, PR66 Red and Brown
Splendid CAC-Approved Example

1914 1C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Dave Bowers' A Guide Book of Lincoln Cents notes of the 1914 proof: "These are scarce today. Most pristine (undipped) coins are a rich light brown color." Such a description aptly applies to this Red and Brown Premium Gem. The strike is full, the rims broad. Rose and steel-blue accents over moderately granular, near-pristine surfaces account for the CAC-approved visual appeal. From a mintage of 1,365 proofs. Population: 41 in 66 (1 in 66+) Red and Brown, 7 finer; 21 in 66 Red, 10 finer. CAC: 21 in 66, 4 finer (4/18).
