    1914 Cent, PR66★ Brown
    Beautifully Toned

1914 1C PR66★ Brown NGC. NGC has awarded the Star designation to just two 1914 Premium Gem Brown proof cents, a situation that has not changed over at least the past 7 years. This PR66 Brown example displays radiant powder-blue patina that consumes the obverse. The reverse exhibits amazing, dappled cherry-red and gunmetal-gray toning. Spectacular color is just one of the attributes offered by this nearly flawless, high-grade matte proof. The strike is needle-sharp, and there are no distracting marks of any kind. Mint luster glistens from every angle. Census: 16 in 66 (2 in 66 ) Brown, 0 finer (9/19).
