Description

1914 Cent, PR67 Red and Brown
Rare High-End Proof, CAC

1914 1C PR67 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. The 1914 proof cent mintage was limited to just 1,365 pieces, as matte finishes were becoming less popular with the public. The matte-on-copper composition, however, creates unique and vibrant color combinations. This Superb Gem proof displays razor-sharp devices on pristine matte surfaces. Copper-mint patina is enhanced with subtle shades of chestnut, and hues of lilac and caramel emerge from an impressive cartwheel effect. PCGS reports only two finer pieces in Red and Brown (11/25).
