Description

1915 Cent, Matte PR65 Red
Only 1,150 Pieces Struck

1915 1C PR65 Red PCGS. CAC. Only 1,150 proofs were struck in 1915, and all were from a single pair of dies. This is a bright, sparkling matte proof that exhibits a considerable range of color for a coin termed Red. Red, of course, is the dominant color, but a slight accent of lilac is present over Lincoln's portrait, and lighter yellowish-tinged red is seen around the margins. Every detail in the beard is fully defined, as are all the other design elements. Scarce with full red color. Population: 18 in 65 Red, 8 finer (12/13).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22KY, PCGS# 3323, Greysheet# 2493)
