Sharply Struck 1915 Matte Proof Lincoln
PR66+ Red, Two Finer at PCGS
1915 1C PR66+ Red PCGS. Sharp strike details characterize
the 1915 Lincoln matte proofs overall, remarkably sharper than
earlier issues. The present PR66+ Red piece demonstrates that
sharpness to superb advantage, a crisply struck and thoroughly
attractive example. The surfaces are medium orange-red throughout,
with a loupe require to find a couple of faint small flecks. A
single short, straight contact mark occurs in the right obverse
field. The typical fine-grained, sandblast finish typical of the
issue is present. This is a mighty appealing example, one of the
finest certified of this elusive proof Lincoln issue. Population: 1
