Description

1915 Cent, PR66+ Red
Conditionally Rare Example

1915 1C PR66+ Red PCGS. The 1915 proof Lincoln cent is nearly as scarce in full Red grades as the 1916. Moreover, only a few examples certified in Red condition might be considered high end for their respective grades. This piece is among those high-end pieces in PR66, being one of only two coins in PR66 Red to have a PCGS Plus designation (3/25). It displays glistening copper-gold surfaces with deeper amber-red tinges around the borders. The strike is razor-sharp, and neither side have objectionable abrasions. We have previously seen only a single finer Red example of the 1915 proof. Population: 10 in 66 (2 in 66+) Red, 2 finer (3/25).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22KY, PCGS# 3323, Greysheet# 2493)

Weight: 3.11 grams

Metal: 95% Copper, 5% Tin & Zinc
