1916 1C PR66+ Brown PCGS. The 1916 is the last matte proof in the Lincoln cent series, and it is the rarest aside from the 1909 VDB proof issue. This high-end Premium Gem Brown example displays a sharp strike and near-flawless surfaces. Each side has a coppery-pink hue, with a dusting of delicate burgundy toning over the top. Nearly worthy of a Red and Brown designation. Population: 6 in 66 (1 in 66+) Brown, 1 finer (2/19).(Registry values: N1793)
