Description

1937 1C PR65 Cameo PCGS. Rarely are 1936-1942 proofs found with any degree of cameo contrast, and that is especially so on the earlier dates. Setting aside the field-to-device contrast, the flashy orange-gold surfaces are essentially unabraded on this exquisitely struck Gem. A couple of tiny peripheral toning flecks are of little consequence. Population: 4 in 65 Cameo, 4 finer (3/09).(Registry values: P2)
