Description

Superb Proof 1941 Cent With Full Red Color

1941 1C PR67 Red NGC. The fields are deeply mirrored on each side and the overall surfaces retain their original bright red color. Most 1936-1942 proof coinage is difficult to obtain in high grades, but the cents are especially challenging since the copper composition was reactive with any exposure to the atmosphere and subject to browning. This is an essentially perfect proof striking with intact mint color from the year of issue.(Registry values: N991)
