1942 Cent, PR66 Red Cameo
1942 1C PR66 Red Cameo PCGS. Ex: Tom Mershon Collection. The 1942 Lincoln cent is a difficult issue to find with any degree of cameo contrast. The present example boasts good contrast, with bright gold color with a reasonable strike. The upper obverse has a couple of tiny spots that appear only under a loupe. Population: 3 in 66 Red Cameo, 1 finer (8/08).(Registry values: P1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22L9, PCGS# 83353, GSID# 2533)
