Description
1913 Cent, PR67+ Red
Pop 1/0 at PCGS; CAC-Approved
1913 1C PR67+ Red PCGS. CAC. Red surfaces contain hints of
rose, lilac, and sage on the obverse, along with a crescent of
white-copper. The reverse contains hints of yellowgrass and
electric-copper on the right side. All details are perfectly
preserved. After two years of relatively lower mintages, proof
Lincoln cent production increased almost 50% in 1913, to 2,983
coins. According to Q. David Bowers, this year is the most
available of the 1909-1916 Lincoln Cent proofs. However, what is
not plentiful are Red examples in high grades. Just under one in
four certifications have received the coveted Red designation, and
the present offering is the only Red coin to grade PR67+.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22KW, PCGS# 3317, Greysheet# 2487)
