Description

Unique Cameo Designated 1942 Mercury Dime, PR66 Quality

1942 10C PR66 Cameo PCGS. Appreciably frosted over the devices, the fields present a splendid backdrop of deep, watery reflectivity. As befits the grade, the smooth surfaces are silent on the subject of distracting hairlines, and the eye appeal benefits even further from a razor sharp strike. Delicate, mottled, golden and silver-gray iridescence drifts over both sides. The cameo finish is noteworthy for a proof Mercury Dime, and, indeed, this is the only example so graded at PCGS (9/02).
