1879 $1 PR65 Cameo NGC. The contrast between the fields and devices is excellent, and is one of the important characteristics of this Gem proof. The fields are deeply mirrored and free of the usual hairlines that so often plague these issues. Similarly, the devices are pristine with frosty silver luster, and the entire presentation resides in a frame of lovely peripheral iridescence.
