Description

1880 Morgan Dollar, PR64+
Choice, Mirrored Surfaces

1880 $1 PR64+ PCGS. CAC. Deep, charcoal surfaces contrast markedly with the light-silver devices. Slight whispers of russet exist near the dentils. Abrasions are nearly nonexistent on the portrait, and are minimal on the fields as well. The Mint's presses have fully impressed all details into the planchet. The 1880 proof Morgan dollar contains the highest mintage of the series in this format at 1,355. However, good-quality, uncleaned examples are scarce, of which the present offering is a welcome exception.(Registry values: N2998)
