    Gem Proof 1881 Silver Dollar

    1881 $1 PR65 NGC. This deeply toned Gem proof has fully mirrored fields that flow around the lustrous devices, imparting cameo contrast beneath the toning. The obverse has splashes of blue, lilac, and gold, with a few lighter silver areas. The reverse is more evenly toned in gold with traces of iridescence. Census: 27 in 65, 38 finer (11/11).(Registry values: N2998)
