1881 Morgan Dollar, PR66 Cameo
Unusual High Quality Specimen
1881 $1 PR66 Cameo NGC. The 1881 proof Morgan dollar enjoyed
a fairly generous mintage of 984 pieces, and examples are not too
difficult to locate in most grades, but few survivors can match the
quality of this Premium Gem Cameo specimen. The fields are brightly
reflective, with just a hint of pale green toning in isolated
spots. The strike is exemplary and the Cameo contrast is startling.
