1882 $1 PR64 PCGS. CAC. A strongly appealing Choice proof, one of 1,100 pieces struck in this higher-mintage year. This is a coin of remarkable quality for the PR64 grade, with only a few tiny flaws in the fields on each side. Housed in a first-generation holder; if this piece were certified today, it would doubtless warrant at least a Cameo designation.
