    Description

1882 Morgan Dollar, PR67 Ultra Cameo
Only One NGC Example in Higher Grade

1882 $1 PR67 Ultra Cameo NGC. A generous proof mintage of 1,100 Morgan dollars was achieved in 1882, using two obverse and two reverse dies. This delightful specimen shows the slight doubling on the numerals 82 in the date that indicates the VAM-10 variety. The richly frosted design elements are sharply detailed throughout, and seem to float on the deeply mirrored fields. The resulting Cameo contrast is intense. The incredibly well-preserved surfaces are mostly brilliant, with just a hint of pale gold toning. Eye appeal is tremendous. Census: 2 in 67 (1 in 67+) Ultra Cameo, 1 finer (4/12).(Registry values: N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27Z6, PCGS# 97317)

    Weight: 26.73 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
