    Description

    1887 Dollar, Lightly Toned PR64

1887 $1 PR64 PCGS. The 1887 mintage of 710 proofs is relatively small compared to other early dates in the series, save for the 1878. Golden-orange toning adorns the rims of this Choice proof, while steel-gray centers feature an overlay of tan patina that somewhat subdues the field reflectivity and contrast. Fully struck, as is to be expected of a proof, with minimal evidence of post-Mint contact.(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27ZG, PCGS# 7322)

    Weight: 26.73 grams
