Description
Deeply Mirrored 1888 Dollar, PR64 Cameo
1888 $1 PR64 Cameo PCGS. Breen-5600, "Very rare." The 18 in the date is clearly recut. Pale golden patina is seen over each side, but the general impression is of a brilliant coin. The centers are almost completely struck, and this specimen is attractively preserved with irrefutable white-on-black contrast. A mere 832 proofs were struck.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27ZH, PCGS# 87323, GSID# 7821)
