    Description

    1889 Morgan, CAC-Approved PR65
    Cameo Contrast on the Reverse

1889 $1 PR65 PCGS. CAC. Continuing a trend established in the early years of the series, the proof 1889 Morgan dollar is a great rarity in Deep Cameo grades and genuinely scarce as a Cameo. This causes high-end non-Cameos to be somewhat overlooked, despite their conditional rarity at the Gem level. This is a particularly elusive CAC-approved example. The strike is full, and dusky champagne toning on each side yields to deeper orange-gold at the borders. Moderate cameo contrast is visible on the reverse.
