Description
Outstanding 1890 Dollar, PR68 Cameo
Among the Finest Known, Ex: Eliasberg
1890 $1 PR68 Cameo NGC. Ex: Eliasberg. The 590-piece mintage
is one of the lowest for the Morgan dollar proof series. NGC/PCGS
population reports point to a fair number of extant specimens,
especially through PR64. Even Cameos can be located through the
near-Gem level.Few known specimens can compete with this PR68 Cameo. Color-free surfaces offer outstanding field-motif contrast and are immaculately preserved. A well executed strike delivers much better detail to the design features than often seen on proof examples of this date. The new owner will obtain a proof dollar with outstanding technical quality and aesthetic appeal along with an important pedigree. Census: 5 in 68 Cameo, 0 finer (6/09).(Registry values: N7079)
