    Description

    Outstanding 1892 PR64 Cameo Dollar

1892 $1 PR64 Cameo PCGS. David Bowers (2006) writes that the proof mintage (1,245 pieces) was overly large for this year "as there was an exceptional demand for 1892 silver Proof sets... ." He goes on to say "Many proof dollars were spent for face value." This near-Gem specimen displays outstanding Cameo surfaces with whispers of gold and lavender at the borders. A thin horizontal toning streak bisects the obverse. An attentive strike results in completeness of the design features. Population: 17 in 64 Cameo, 14 finer (9/08).(Registry values: N2998)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 27ZM, PCGS# 87327)

    Weight: 26.73 grams
