Description

1894 Morgan Dollar, PR64
Beautiful Bluish-Purple Hues

1894 $1 PR64 PCGS. Bluish-purple hues coat the surfaces of this proof dollar, along with speckles of russet-brown. Only a touch of weakness exists on the highest strands of hair, and abrasions are nearly nonexistent. This issue has a slightly higher mintage than surrounding years at 972 proofs. However, the rarity of the circulation-strike counterpart, which has the second-lowest mintage of the series at 110,000 coins, makes the present offering irresistible. Population: 89 in 64 (2 in 64+), 50 finer (8/25).(Registry values: N2998)
