Description

1894 Morgan Dollar, PR65 Cameo
Vivid Toning

1894 $1 PR65 Cameo ANACS. The year 1894 saw a proof mintage of 972 Morgan dollars, about average production for the period. The present coin is a magnificent Gem survivor of that well produced mintage, with gleaming reflective fields and sharply defined, frosty devices. Traces of green and lavender toning enliven the mostly brilliant surfaces, and the field-device contrast is startling. The 1894 is rare in PR65 with the Cameo designation.(Registry values: N4719)
