    In-Demand 1894 Morgan Dollar
    Premium Gem Cameo Proof

1894 $1 PR66 Cameo PCGS. The 1894 Morgan dollar saw a paltry initial mintage of circulation strikes -- 110,000 pieces -- and their subsequent attrition have made high-grade proof examples doubly attractive. The proofs were struck to the extent of 972 pieces, but some nice high-grade examples survive. This Premium Gem Cameo proof is brilliant, save for a wide swath of pale gold running vertically along the face of Liberty. The strike is quite close to full, save for the slightest weakness on the hair over the ear. Strong mint frost covers the devices, and there are no visible flaws. Population: 5 in 66 Cameo, 1 finer (9/12).(Registry values: N4719)

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2577, PCGS# 87329)

    Weight: 26.73 grams

    Metal: 90% Silver, 10% Copper
