1901 $1 PR64 NGC. CAC. This stone-white near-Gem has an exacting strike and only a few trivial field hairlines. DOLLAR is lightly die doubled, diagnostic for proofs of this date. The rarity of the 1901 in Mint State adds to the demand for quality proofs as a substitute.
