1901 $1 PR65 PCGS. Light haze over parts of the reverse masks the eye appeal of this otherwise extraordinary Gem proof. Struck at the beginning of the brilliant proof era where Mint officers and workmen attempted to eliminate cameo contrast. Pale gold toning is present over portions of this otherwise brilliant piece.
