The Finest NGC-Certified
1902 $1 PR68 ★ NGC. NGC/PCGS population data would suggest
that a fair number of the 777 proof Morgan dollars minted in 1902
have survived to the present day. However, a mere four of these
have been given the coveted Star designation by NGC, with the
present Superb Gem being the finest numerical grade! Its untoned
surfaces exhibit an above average strike and both sides display a
modest degree of field-motif contrast, extremely unusual for 1902
proof dollars that ordinarily show highly polished portraits.
Immaculate preservation serves to round out the coin's magnificent
