Description

1903 $1 Genuine PCGS. Proof. The PCGS number ending in .94 suggests Altered Surfaces as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of an unworn proof specimen that has altered surfaces and a corrosion streak on the reverse. The small cigar-shaped streak is faint and located in front of the eagle's beak. Careful examination of the reverse field suggests it has been repaired near the arrows and above the eagle's head. Nonetheless, a brilliant and attractive example with icy devices that contrast with glassy fields.
