Attractive 1903 Gem Proof Dollar
1903 $1 PR65 NGC. The deeply mirrored fields of this Gem proof yield little contrast with the devices, as is the case with the majority of the issue. Apparently, the dies were polished in the motif areas as well as in the fields. Splashes of cobalt-blue and gold-orange are more extensive and deeper on the obverse.
