Scarce Gem Proof 1858 Seated Dime
1858 10C PR65 NGC. Proper care for proof silver coinage was still totally unexplored territory when the Mint stepped up its production in 1858. Consequently, only a tiny percentage of survivors qualifies for Gem quality. This nicely mirrored specimen sports a hint of contrast beneath milky steel-violet patina.
