1859 Seated Dime, PR67 Cameo
Conditionally Scarce Stars Obverse Specimen
1859 10C PR67 Cameo NGC. The final proof issue in the Stars
Obverse Seated dime series, with an official mintage of 800 coins,
some of which may have been spent or melted. Around 400 coins have
been certified by NGC and PCGS combined, including any possible
resubmissions; but not nearly that many are rated as Cameo
examples. This untoned Superb Gem exhibits remarkably glassy fields
and beautifully frosted design motifs. Census: 12 in 67 Cameo (3 in
