Description

1860 Dime, Magnificently Toned PR67

1860 10C PR67 PCGS. CAC. Proof production of Seated dimes amounted to 1,000 coins in 1860. Many of these specimens were melted, however, and the issue is scarce today in all grades. Few of the other proof 1860 dimes we have handled at this grade level are as visually impressive as this coin. Concentric swirls of champagne-gray, sea-green, gold, and charcoal patina blend together over impeccably preserved features. There is not a single noticeable blemish, and every design element possesses razor-sharp striking definition. PCGS reports a mere six coins in PR67, and there is not a single piece finer at that grading service (7/11).
