Description

1865 Dime, Toned PR66
Ideal for Date Representation

1865 10C PR66 PCGS. Fortin-101, R.5. The Mint struck just 500 proof dimes in 1865, though even with such a low mintage the proof variant is slightly more available for date purposes than its business strike counterpart, which had a proportionately paltry mintage of only 10,000 coins. The present coin shows deeply reflective fields with beautiful hues of turquoise, blue, violet, and amber-gold. A bold strike completes the eye appeal. Population: 6 in 66, 2 finer (10/14).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23CN, PCGS# 4758, Greysheet# 4235)
