Description

1866 10C PR64 Deep Cameo PCGS. Fortin-102. Brilliant except for golden-brown borders. Luminous devices rise in full definition above glassy fields. A pair of minor lintmarks are noted above DIME. The base of the 1 is repunched north, and the second 6 is lightly repunched southwest. Likely, only the first proofs struck show this repunching, since the Fortin reference makes no mention of it, and also omits the minor die doubling on the upper left portion of the wreath. Population: 5 in 64 Deep Cameo, 5 finer (4/15).(Registry values: P1)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23CP, PCGS# 94759, Greysheet# 4240)
