PR68 1866 Seated Dime
Impeccably Preserved

1866 10C PR68 NGC. Gazing at this impeccable coin makes one wonder how it could have survived for 146 years with such stunning surface preservation. The obverse offers swaths of sun-gold, ruby-red, and blue-green, and the reverse has similar peripheral colors that surround an untoned center. A mere 725 proofs were struck of the 1866 Seated dime, along with only 8,000 business strikes. Census: 1 in 68, 1 in 68 , 0 finer (8/12).
