Description

Deep Cameo PR65 1868 Dime
Blundered Date, Breen-3345

1868 10C PR65 Deep Cameo PCGS. Breen-3345. Blundered Date. Discovered by Walter in 1965, the bottom of the 1 in the date was first mispunched far too high and can be seen just right of the shield point. All proofs struck from these dies show die rust in the central drapery. This is a brilliant coin that also has several stray die polishing lines in the fields. The mint frost is unbelievably thick and contrasts sharply against the illimitable depth of reflectivity in the fields. Brilliant throughout.(Registry values: P1)
