Description

1868 10C PR65 NGC. Breen-3345, Fortin-105. A remarkable blundered die with the base of a misplaced 1 appearing in Liberty's lower gown and the base of another misplaced 1 (!) appearing just before the first errant digit. Blundered dies, overdates, and similar anomalies exist on proof coins, but they are rare. This deeply toned Gem has rich gold patina on the obverse with darker violet and blue along the border.
