Description

1875 Dime, Toned PR67

1875 10C PR67 NGC. Fortin-101, R.3. This is a late die state, as die polishing has removed all signs of repunching on the date numerals and a faint crack is seen from the rim to the first T in STATES. The strike is bold and the fields display glassy reflectivity. Vivid teal and green-gold toning accents the borders, while soft lavender and golden hues encompass the central regions. This is a beautifully preserved example, from a mintage of only 700 pieces. Census: 5 in 67 (1 in 67 ), 1 finer (6/14).(Registry values: N2998)
