Colorful Toning

1878 10C PR66 PCGS. Only 800 proof Seated Liberty dimes were minted in 1878, and examples in Premium Gem condition are very rare today. Bright, colorful toning appears at the obverse rim. The colors include cobalt-blue, fuchsia, cherry-red, violet, and orange. The reverse is primarily light gold and sea-green. A tiny as-made lint mark is present in the field between Liberty's neck and her left hand. Encased in an old green label holder.(Registry values: N1793)
