A Well-Contrasted, Brilliant Type Coin
1879 10C PR67 Cameo NGC. F-101, R.5. Deeply reflective and
practically stone-white with strong obverse contrast that only
intensifies on the reverse. This Cameo proof is sharply struck with
just a hint of haze in the fields. The 1879 proof dime is rarely
offered in such fine condition. Census: 11 in 67 Cameo (1 in 67
★ ), 0 finer; 1 in 67 ★ Ultra Cameo, 0 finer (4/18).Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5-6/2007), lot 697, which realized $2,990.
