Description

1882 10C PR66 PCGS. CAC. This glittering little proof Seated Liberty dime is quite the eye-catcher. CAC endorsed in Premium Gem condition, it is at least that fine. Close study of the fields fails to reveal a single obvious hairline, although admittedly, the viewer's eye is continually drawn to the full, frosty devices that seem to float atop the glasslike mirrors of the fields. The coin is brilliant aside from a tinge of gold around the outer peripheries. Housed in a first generation holder, a measurable degree of cameo contrast is not mentioned by PCGS. Population: 22 in 66, 13 finer; 23 in 66 (4 in 66+) Cameo, 12 finer; 3 in 66 Deep Cameo, 1 finer. CAC: 10 in 66, 9 finer (7/19).
