Description

1883 Seated Dime, PR67
Excellent Toning

1883 10C PR67 PCGS. CAC. F-103. Usually available in lower grades, the proof 1883 Seated Liberty dime becomes scarce at the Premium Gem level, and Superb Gems are rare. This PR67 coin displays slight softness on the upper-left portion of the wreath, but is otherwise boldly struck. The fields are deeply reflective, but true mirroring is precluded by rich oldtime toning; the obverse is deep reddish-gold with crescent of pine-green along the lower edge, and the reverse exhibits bright lemon-yellow around the periphery with softer sea-green and lavender hues in the center. Population: 8 in 67, 3 finer (9/15).(Registry values: N2998)

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23D8, PCGS# 4780, Greysheet# 4292)

Weight: 2.49 grams
